possibly on a 1 cent coin?

Geocoin - whatever that is.

Engraved on a nickel
These are known as "Hobo Nickels" and are engraved by a well known artist.

Banshees

Although the following is on a key ring, it's possible that a filed down example will turn up, so I've added it here. Strange that they should choose to depict a leprechaun, usually a happy little old man, for a banshee, usually an old witch-like spirit.

Here is a coin or token on a keychain that celebrates the Banshees 35th anniversary. It shows a devilish, or perhaps Irish, character standing on what looks like the New York skyline. It shows the dates 1935 and 1970. The back shows many different theatrical masks like comedy and tragedy and says King Features Syndicate. It appears to be brass and is 1 and 3/8ths inches wide. Because it says King Features Syndicate, the same syndicate that published Popeye and Blondie, I'm guessing that the Banshees were a long running newspaper comic strip.
