This is a Mardi Gras Doubloon like coin. It was given out on St. Patrick's day 1966 in New Orleans. It is made of Aluminium and is dual coloured.
The advertisement didn't say what was on the reverse.
The die was used for other tokens, not connected with the Mardi Gras - see below.
