If you can supply any illustrations, please do so.

These were a 1970s collecting phenomena
Many of these older items were lost to the wholesale silver melts
of the early 1980's when the silver price reached $40 per ounce.
Archie Kidd has produced an indexed guide book of silver art bars
it was up to the fifth edition by 1991.
Prices now appear to be $5-10 each on eBay.

I am NOT interested in these pieces.

If you have anything not listed, please let me know.

#6 Silver Ingot - Emmet Kelly to top
World's Greatest Clown Emmett Kelly Sr

Emmett Kelly (1898-1979) was born in the USA - of Irish stock
Inducted into Clown Hall on May 1, 1996 (or 1989!)
Emmett Kelly was a gifted entertainer who gained world fame as the hobo clown, "Weary Willie." Born December 9, 1898, in Sedan, Kansas, he and his family moved to a farm near Houston, Missouri when he was six. At the age of 19, Kelly went to Kansas City with the dream of becoming a professional cartoonist. It was while working for an advertising agency that he created the hobo clown character for which he would later become famous. He did his first circus work as a trapeze artist and clown for Howe's Great London Circus. In 1933, while working with the Hagenback-Wallace Circus, his "Weary Willie" character was born and instantly became a symbol of hope for those hard hit by the depression. Kelly found his true home in 1941 when he joined the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. He became a major star of the circus and even made appearances in films, night clubs, television, and the Broadway stage. Kelly passed away on March 28, 1979. He was inducted into the Clown Hall of Fame in 1989.

The complete set was offered on eBay for over $1000 and described as follows;-
OFFICIAL GEM-INGOT COLLECTION.....this is a collection of thirty highly polished sterling silver presentation or "calling card" ingots sometime presented by gem houses to their prime customers. Each ingot represents a different gem house and each ingot is set with a different precious gemstone. The Franklin Mint in 1979 struck these ingots for these renowned gem houses. Each ingot bears the official identifying mark of the gem house it represents, thus distinguishing or serving as a "silver calling card" for that house. Each silver ingot is set with a precious gem stone, the one most associated with the issuing gem house. These gems include the diamond, ruby, emerald, sapphire, opal, jade, tourmaline, amber, peridot, lapis Lazuli plus some twenty others. Individual specimens of these official presentation gem-ingots are minted in exceptionally limited numbers; seldom more that a hundred a year. Because presentation ingots are closely held (and reserved almost entirely for private clientele) it would be virtually impossible for the vast majority of us to obtain them, thus the Franklin Mint made arrangements with each of the gem houses to make it possible for a limited minting with the proviso that they be offered only by private invitation. The collection includes a Leather-covered presentation case with combination lock along with a specially-written reference folder describing the precious gem it contains and the famous gem house issuing it. Examples of these ingots would be the fire opal, known to the Aztecs and prized above all other gems, would be in the presentation of Joyas Rocas y Minerales of of Madero Mexico, the tourmaline of "muse's stone" thought to aid the mind and spirit in the presentation of H. Stern of Brazil, or the emerald symbolizes faith and immortality from the Andes in Colombia and set from the Muzo Mines. A list in no particular order: Turquoise, Morteza Mozaffarian of Tehran Iran.
